We recently had a 12 day vacation at Napili Bay Resort. The accommodations were great. We had a fantastic ocean view and nice beach right in front of out unit. The parking area was large enough for all the guests. The BBQ set up was great and we did a lot of grilling. A nice laundry facility and nice ice machine was available to us. less

Perfect location for a relaxing vacation

Condo 105 was our first choice for a place to stay during our visit to Maui. The location on Napili Bay Beach was perfect. The entrance to our favorite beach was steps away from the front door, in fact, the view from the lanai was... more the same as being on the beach, except your toes weren't in the sand! The condo was stocked with everything we would need for a beach vacation, including beach chairs, beach umbrella, floating chair and pool noodles. Several great restaurants were a quick 5 minute drive away and Lahaina, with great nightlife and restaurants was about 10 minutes away. We loved hearing the sound of the waves coming in lulling us to sleep. The only downside to the location right on the beach was the sound of people swimming and having fun both after sunrise and later at night but to us it was worth the tradeoff. less

Style and Comfort

The condo was recommended by a friend, but the description did not do it justice. I enjoyed the modern look and superb functionality. The location close to the beach provided privacy and easy access for swimming and snorkeling. We sat on the lanai early morning... more for coffee and late night to absorb the rhythms of the waves and night air. There was no need for TV or technology to dilute the experience. I look forward to returning when I need a break from my everyday living in the city. less

Great location ... but

We love Napili Bay, and have stayed at these condos for the past few years. Our first stay in #105. We like that this condo has it's balcony on the corner, so you get a more expansive view. We were disappointed in a few things.... more These are minor fixes that I believe would really enhance folks visits. The dishes were old and were completely scratched up and very unattractive. There were only 2 coffee mugs and limited cups. It felt like someone had furnished with whatever left over bits and pieces they happend to have around. Other condos we've stayed in had been a little more thoughtful to plates and dishes they include. The toilet needs to be replaced. The bowl design is such that unless you toss your TP way in the back, it doesn't ever flush down. Very irritating, and causes more flushes then necessary, which wastes water. The built in high-end microwave in the picture no longer works, so there is now a very large microwave on the kitchen counter taking up most of the available space. If the micorwave was moved to the end on the piece of furniture, there would be more counter space to work with. And the condo could really use a good cleaning. The cabinet doors were all tacky, and the handles full of crumbs. Such an easy fix! Overall, we think you can't go wrong staying at Napili Bay Resort. It's the perfect location for a couple who appreciate being right on the ocean. less

Right in front of the beach

Loved this spot! You had mostly everything you need. We had bought a few dinners to enjoy from Costco and unfortunately their oven and microwave wasn’t working. We called maintenance and communication was choppy. Day 4 out of 7 is when they sent someone and... more couldn’t do anything. So no microwave or oven for this trip. We managed, they were kind enough and got us a gift card to the restaurant next door. Hair dryer and toaster also didn’t work. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. Great for just hanging out. The stores are only a few min away. less

Napili Condo 105

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Napili Bay and condo 105. This is my third time staying at the Napili Bay Resort condos. The Condo has a stunning view and came well-equipped with most of the amenities we needed. I would have appreciated having a... more sponge in the kitchen. I would recommend updating the photos as the condo's condition in person was not reflected in the photos - not quite as nice as the photos present. There was no bedspread which made the bed look shabby. I'd also suggest letting guests know that the bed is a full - a bit small. While guests will enjoy the view and the sound of the waves, they should be aware that they will hear beach goers early in the morning (thing yelling children and their parents). This was our honeymoon and I would not suggest this condo for that purpose, but great for a seasoned couple. less

#105 Napili Bay Resort

Pros, Cons, and Maybes: Pro - It was/is wonderful to be able to sit out on the lanai day or night enjoying the waves and the view without having to deal with sand, beach umbrellas, etc. Location, location, location!! The size of the condo was... more perfect for me. Although when I stayed in #104, there was a daybed that my daughter slept in comfortably. Maybe - The fans were an asset and the ability to open the lanai door to get air inside. I wish there had been one of those pencil-shaped air conditioning units available to use on some nights. Maybe - I couldn't get used to how to use that shower effectively. And I didn't use the stove at all -- it looked iffy. And the toilet was iffy as well, but we eventually figured out how to make it flush properly. less

Napili Bay Resort #105

Great place with amazing views!

Highly recommend!!!

What a perfect beach front unit! A clean, well furnished Condo with everything you need including boogie boards and beach chairs. Kitchen has all the basics and the complex has a very nice BBQ area! Just a few steps to the beach...for great swimming and... more snorkling!!! Perfect place for a single person or couple! Love the location with easy access and parking. I can not thank the owners and management enough for everything...they went above and beyond in making my trip an awesome experience. Additionally, the on-site management does a great job in keeping the property well maintained. I will happily stay there again. less

Perfect location!

This was our second time in Napili Bay Resort unit 105. We loved staying there! The condo was perfect for the two of us. It was updated at some point, however it is showing some wear and tear. The bed was comfortable, snowy white towels... more were waiting all bagged up in covid fashion, and everything was clean and inviting. We only had one key but a quick email and another key was delivered before we were back from the beach. Only thing missing was a beach umbrella. Can’t wait to go back! less

Most relaxing vacation I’ve ever had

Everything you need in walking distance, for a safe, relaxing, and fun vacation in Maui. This condo is so close to the beach, you don’t even need to pack a cooler. Super comfortable bed, tall chairs and table on the patio. Grab the basics from... more Costco when you arrive... the condo has a full kitchen (no oven) but large clean community BBQs in the courtyard. Then for any smaller needs, there’s a grocery store .7 miles away which has amazing poke btw. We loved having the Tommy Bahama chairs and the boogie boards. (Although one boogie board is wearing down a bit and scratches so we only used one of them). less

Condo 105 review

This is our second stay at the Napili Bay Resort. We prefer the second floor, but late reservations on our part had us reserving Unit 105. For the most part we were very satisfied with the unit and the resort as a whole. There were... more a couple of bothersome things in our unit, including flickering ceiling can lights that drove me nuts, a toilet that was running much of the time, and complicated instructions on how to use the TV (and we are both VERY technically savvy!). On the plus side, Napili is such a great location. The bay is wonderful for walking, snorkeling, and looking for turtles and whales (though we were a little early (Jan 1-11) to see a lot of whales). The Napili Plaza has a lot of very good eating opportunities (Mama's Ribs and Rotisserie, Joey's Kitchen, Maui Tacos, and even the Napili Market), as do hotels on the main road (Sea House, Kitchen 5315, The Gazebo). If only the weather had cooperated more... But we'll be back again. less

1 Night in Unit 105

We just needed to stay 1 night, we had friends staying there for the week from California, so we just wanted to visit them as we live in Kihei. So we didn't spend too much time in the Condo. However, it was very nice and... more clean, beautiful location. We grilled out that evening and it was really nice. Only 2 comments. It would be nice if there were mini shampoo, and conditioner or a combo. We didn't think of that and there were none provided. I also understand from the owner that in the future you will require a 4 night stay. To me that seems like you would loose money if there are people like us locals that just need a night to attend an event on the West side, or just visit friends. Not everyone can afford a night at the Ritz or Montage. So it's nice to have a condo option. I hope you will reconsider. Our friends have been staying there every other year for a while now and we enjoy being able to visit them. less

Great spot!

We loved our stay at Napili Bay Resort 105! The condo was nicely updated. The owners even thought of things like places to hang towels! Of course you can hardly beat the resort - right on Napili Bay! One with Napili Bay

Fabulous studio unit in an unassuming complex directly on the beach at Napili Bay. Well appointed, well equipped and tastefully remodeled. We loved our stay here. Napilii Bay frequent flier

First and foremost Napili Bay is 4.5 out 5 if you get a bad unit. That been said I think 105 is the best unit. The owner has multiple units and 105 is updated to a very high standard as it is the unit he... more stays in. If you see a month blacked out he is there. The lanai is also a favorite as the north end is open because of the jog in the building. Napili bay is fabulous and #105 is finely furnished. less

Wonderful Condo

WONDERFUL ... We really enjoyed our stay and experience in this unit (#105) this month. We stayed for four nights in January. This is our second stay at the Napili Bay Resort, but appreciated this particular unit's contemporary and simple clean lines yet tropical Hawaiian... more vibe. The bed was comfortable, the amenities top notch and it's location ideal. Always have a pleasant stay here in Napili Bay. We would definitely consider staying again in this unit for future Maui visits. Aloha! less

Love Napili Bay, Great Place to Stay

We were finally able to turn our day trip to Napili Bay into an overnight stay! Celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary, things couldn't have been more romantic except for… To our surprise, the ocean is a lot louder (this time of year) than we... more expected, especially during the wee hours. CRASH! CRASH! Very startling. Because of the tremendous noise, we had to close the louvers and missed the lovely breeze. The fans were great, but portable one(s) very loud. It would have been uncomfortable in the room during the heat of the summer since there's no air conditioning (in any of these units)—be warned in advance. Also to our surprise, the lanai does not connect directly to the beach. Actually, the signs insist not even approaching the railing from the beach side. That was a bummer to us, but certainly not a fault of the individual unit. The last instance that made for an awkward time was the detachable shower head! The hose must have recently been replaced and was not the same hardware/size as the rest of the shower components. Because of this, the detachable sprayer did not fit into the stand. In order to use the shower, you had to hold the wand the entire time. I took pictures to illustrate problem. Otherwise, the unit is furnished nicely, the view is amazing, the appliances top notch and the location unbeatable. Just be sure to get out there early to claim your spot :-O less

Unit 105 Napili Bay

Very nicely remodeled unit. However, the fan over the range came on at different times throughout the night. But would not turn on when we tried to cook a meal. Just couldn't figure it out. Be careful taking a shower. The water can come out... more the entrance opening. We have been coming to Napili Bay for 25 years and have stayed in a number of the different units available. Refrigerator impossible to open. Handle will break from extra opening force. Wi-fi router way too bright at nite. Why no boogie boards like other condos? Need towel bars on lanai. When someone calls you it would be nice if you would return the call instead... more of sending an email. less
